Our journey began as we gathered at the First Baptist Church of Tucker parking lot to meet our transfer to the Hartwell Jackson Atlanta International Airport. We bid farewell to our loved ones that dropped us off and set off at 7 p.m. for our 10:30 flight. The check-in at the Delta desk at The International Terminal went rather smoothly and folks continued on through security to the gate. Waiting to board our flight, some got a bite to eat, some read, some got acquainted with fellow travelers. We departed on time! The flight to Amsterdam took about 8 hours. We had dinner about 90 minutes into the flight (pasta or beef & rice). Having our own individual entertainment system - some played games, some watched movies (Lisa and I watched Imitation Game). About 90 minutes prior to landing in Amsterdam we had breakfast (omelet, sausage, etc).
